I have used cheap vent openers, and there is no question that these are stronger and better constructed. The replacement cylinders are a little tricky to replace, but once you do the first one, it's pretty easy.

I thought I would need to replace the entire vent opener, but discovered that I could save about 75% by simply buying the power tube that opens the vent. It wasn't very difficult to replace the old power tube, and now the vent works perfectlty

Bought an extra pair when we set up greenhouse because thought we might have problem getting replaceable. Just now installed spare set. Had no problem finding another spare set.
