Easy to install, truly a "plug and play" system. So far working very well. Suggest you heed the warning of placing the thermostat in the shade. I accomplished this by installing a piece of shelving board directly above the thermostat attached to the added wood bracing around the fan. Very pleased with this kit.
Everything came packed so well! Directions included. We have froze up so I won’t be able to install until the weather changes. At 74 it is hard to get my fingers moving. Stay tuned I can’t imagine it not working perfectly. And the nice thing if I need tech help that comes along with the purchase. AFC. IS THE BEST I BOUGHT ONE BACK IN 2009 and far as I know it is still working I had moved so starting a new with my greenhouse. I would recommend you purchase from them they have a great product
What a great company to deal with. Had an intake come damaged so they sent me another one the same day. It also came in damaged so once again they sent one no questions asked. Have not had a chance to install the system yet but with the service I have received thus far I have no worries that if there is a problem they will take care of it. Would highly recommend anyone to buy from them. Will update review after install to review function.
Well color me thoroughly impressed! We're at 7,000' in northern Colorado, so spring conditions can be really tricky and variable. I was running home every morning to manually vent my greenhouse. Now I just check my Ambient weather site and watch it automatically stay at 80 degrees. This kit was very easy to install - I'm moderately handy and can do my own wiring for power. The components are of good quality, nothing was broken and the kit came within a couple days of my order. The design is clever - everything plugs into a power strip switched by a thermostat. I don't use overhead watering or humidifiers, so didn't bother with the waterproof box for all the connections - but I'll find a use for it outside.
Everything was easy to install and hook up. I did end up having to purchase an extension cord for the shutter motor, but the system came with a waterproof cover for the hookup which is nice. Very nice well made fan and louvers.
Easy install.
Ordered the P1216 Fan System for my 10x12 greenhouse, and it has been the perfect match. The 3-speed fan offers options for the correct amount of air movement depending on the weather conditions, and the electric opener for the intake vent ensures the vent stays closed until it is needed for ventilation. Also ordered the 12" and 16" hoods for the fan and intake vent to keep the winter storms out.
Works well at bringing the temp down in my 13x13 grow more greenhouse. It's not a drastic drop, but does bring it down by at least 10° and keeps air circulating.
Products arrived timely to Alaska. Install was straight forward and directions where easy to understand. So far, it has functioned as it should and I'm really pleased with it. It was installed in a 12x24, double-wall polycarbonate greenhouse.
Recently I installed an ACF Premium Plug-In Exhaust Fan System P1620 in a greenhouse. Product came promptly. The plug-in system assembled as designed. The weather here is not hot yet & the size of system is fine. I could venture to say I may be adding a 2nd system for hotter weather to move more air. One challenge I'm having is with the fan shutter as it is not intentionally controlled. It's held open when the fan runs, otherwise it flaps and flaps from the wind. I'm told in the the colder season these shutters are going to have to stay shut. Initially, I may try & create some type of return spring that will pull the shutter shut but the fan can still blow open. A more positive control option here would be to add a damper motor for shutter control as is installed on the intake shutters. It could be plugged into the power strip also.
