These exhaust vent kits come complete with everything needed to vent a Modine PTP gas heater up to 3' (additional pipe and/or a drip tee may be needed for some installations). These 3' stainless steel, gas tight, category 3 vent systems are approved for horizontal installation in residential and commercial applications for gas unit heaters. Most durable, longest lasting, and lowest maintenance vent system available for Modine Hot Dawg gas unit heaters.
Straight PTP Heater Vent Kit Includes
(1) heater adapter, (1) 36" vent pipe, (1) wall thimble, and (1) screened termination tee
45 Degree PTP Heater Vent Kit Includes
(1) heater adapter, (1) 45° elbow, (1) 24" vent pipe, (1) wall thimble, and (1) screened termination tee
Wall Depth Option
If the exterior wall you will be venting through is over 7" thick but less than 13", then select the 7 to 13 inches option under wall depth above. This kit includes an extended wall thimble designed for thicker walls.
Vent pipe and fittings feature patented built-in mechanical locking band and triple-lipped directional gaskets. All pipes and components are engineered with smooth clean welds located 90° from mechanical locking bands. All pipe and fittings are UL1738 approved for category II, III and IV venting applications.
What is UL 1738? In short, it is a US standard for gas venting systems required in category 3 applications. Category 3 refers to positive vent pressure which is created by exhaust blowers in unit heaters. These vent systems must be constructed of corrosion resistant stainless steel, contain gaskets for sealing, and have a built in mechanical locking band among other requirements. All category 3 vent pipe and fittings offered are single wall.
