Modine HD Hot Dawg Heater Category 3 Vent Kits

Went together great!! ended up needing another 12” peace also ordered from acf greenhouse was received a couple of days later installed and enjoying a warm shop.

Perfect exhaust kit for my application. Straight piped the exhaust out a sidewall of my garage. Fit the modine hotdawg with a 3 inch exhaust perfectly. Great price and great shipping time. Thanks

This kit from ACF greenhouses was top notch and very easy to install. I originally ordered an extra 45 deg angle, but where my heater ended up landing I needed the 30deg elbow. The kit was very easy to install and the piping is very high quality. I would recommend to anyone installing a furnace in their house or garage

   

Product arrived with no damage to my residence. I ordered an extra 3 inch vent section of 18 inches as I knew I was a little further from my back wall then some who install their heaters. I also ordered the firestop piece of stainless steel and the stainless steel storm collar. I did not like that the wall thimble on the outside of the building only has about 1 inch of flange around the eight inch diameter outer pipe. Knowing how much rain and wind we get here in Washington, I put the firestop over the wall thimble flange to help combat wind and rain around the eight inch hole that I cut in the side of my garage. I then also put the storm collar around the pipe as well. Maybe a little overkill, but water will not be getting into my shop through this vent pipe. Picture of outside and inside install attached. Everything fit like a glove and went smoothly. Expensive stainless vent pipe, but I think it was worth it.

 

I bought this horizontal vent kit for my Modine 45,000 BTU Hot Dawg heater. The piping fitis excellent and goes together effortlessly. The piping fit the 3" exhaust of the Modine perfectly. This is a high quality kit.

I am so glad I found this ACF Greenhouses vent kit! I had planned to built a vent kit from scratch but this is so much better with it's integrated gaskets and clamps. The thimble worked well, too. Extremely pleased with this setup.

I was looking for a vent kit with a thimble which would work with 2x6 stud garage walls and one that met or exceeded national safety codes. This kit worked nicely and I was able to customize my installation with the purchase of an extra vent pipe. The only thing which I could suggest is a trim plate to cover the outside thimble.
