GM13 - Grow More 13' x 13' Greenhouse Kit

I’m a horticulturist who has owned a couple hobby greenhouses at home over the years. I’ve worked in and around a number of others. This kit offers above-average build quality with better insulation and far better venting than the vast majority of kits I see. And, it does so at a fraction of the cost of kits that offer similar. No brainer. Only gripe would be that a couple of the steps in the instructions are not great but with some patience you will figure them out. Base and foundation preparations took a few days (did everything by hand on an uneven site) and greenhouse assembly took about two days for a pair of us, so estimates on time commitment were very fair. We assembled GM13 D. Very happy with the product and the value.

Absolutely in love with my 13x13 Grow More Greenhouse. It's going to be utilized as a hobby house for all my Aroids and to grow a few veggies. Glad I did my research and found ACF Greenhouses.

 

This is my second Grow More greenhouse. Very solid, stable greenhouse. I assembled it by myself. Hardest part was the ridge line (a second person would make it easier). All the parts lined up perfectly. However, 3 of the 6 window vents were misaligned, so light and water could enter when they were closed. Windows could use a little redesign to allow a better fit with some "give" to make up for some misalignment. I changed the door handle to be a standard screen door latch, but the door frame is just a little bit too wide to accommodate the standard latch parts, so I had to improvise. I added a section to the 13x13 Grow More to make it a 13x20, but the non-sloped gutters are then too long to drain water completely to the two ends. They should add a middle downspout for extensions. One side panel at the front right side did not go in straight, so I had to trim the polycarbonate to allow the gutter to fit.

I ordered the Grow More 13 foot greenhouse with an extension and extra double door. It is a very stable construction and definitely sturdy enough to hold up to the elements. After the foundation was complete, my husband and I put up the greenhouse in about 2 days. It went together easily overall and I like the way it is put together. It did take a little getting used to the directions since there is nothing written - it's only pictures. There were a few missing pieces, but nothing that required us to stop building and ACF Greenhouses shipped out the missing parts within 24 hours after I called them. I'm excited to see how it performs throughout the year. All in all I'm very happy with my decision to get this greenhouse and would definitely recommend it. I think it is a tremendous value for the money. If, at some point in the future, I decide I need a 2nd greenhouse, I will buy another one of these.

Concrete was poured with a good runoff slope, had some door alignment issues, but all is good now.

I purchased the Growmore 13 x 13 greenhouse with an extension. I am very pleased with this greenhouse. I think for the money, it is incredibly well-built And a real bargain. Everything fit together very well with very few problems installing it. I was a little intimidated by the instruction booklet and the mountain of parts. But once I start putting it together and realized that the parts were organized by box number and all of the parts were nicely labeled, I took a deep breath and started putting it all together. There was a little bit of learning curve but once I started, it really flowed. Three of us put it together in one day. But that was after I put the base down. It’s quite a learning curve I took me three hours to put the base down but I could probably redo it in about 30 minutes. The key to installation was getting the base perfectly level. I used six by sixes on concrete piers and a laser level. It was absolutely flat and I think that aided greatly in the installation. Instruction manual is not very good, but once you get the hang of it does make sense. Pay close attention to the orientation of the parts. In the future, hopefully they’ll have photographs and a video as well that would be extremely helpful. Customer service is wonderful, Erik was very patient with my questions and very helpful. In short I would highly recommend this greenhouse, it’s only been up for a day but it seems to be very solid and weatherproof. If you have some trepidation about purchasing this one, go ahead and buy it you won’t be disappointed…

         

Once put together, it looks and functions beautifully. It definitely helped to have 2 people for installing the larger panels. The people at ACF were extremely helpful and informative, and took care to make sure everything was perfect.

All the parts and pieces arrived in great condition. The paint job of the frame material is outstanding. Some of the assembly instructions are a bit vague but assembly was pretty intuitive. I’m impressed with all the added cross bracing and the thickness of the frame. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this greenhouse.
Features I really like about the Grow More greenhouse:
1. The quality and sturdiness of the frame and covering are far superior to the Palram greenhouse I am replacing. No worries about high winds blowing a panel out of this thing! That was an ongoing issue with my previous greenhouse.
2. The roof vents are huge. These monsters really let in a lot of fresh air even with the doors closed. I noticed it does not heat up nearly as quickly as my previous one.
3. I have large potted plants that have to be transported by cart and wheelbarrow in soil for my raised beds. The roomy double doors make these tasks much easier. They are plenty sturdy, and the Dutch door is nice for added ventilation. I would have preferred the option to lock them though. I may just pick up a gate type latch locally if the need arises.

I was a little hesitant at first when I found the grow more greenhouses. The price was much lower than other similar size offerings I looked at and this one came with heavier duty panels than the rest. I'm glad my husband and I decided on this though! It is very well made and assembly was not overly complicated. We were able to put it together over the weekend with very few issues. We look forward to many years of fun in the greenhouse. I live in south central Texas, and we get a few hard freezes each year. Because of the exceptionally long freeze we had in Feb 2021, I decided to get a greenhouse to protect some of my plants. I purchased the smaller version of this greenhouse in the past and was very happy with it, so I decided to upgrade to a larger one. This 13 x 13 is the perfect size for me. It can hold quite a lot of large pots with plenty of room for shelving etc. The panels are thicker than anything else I found online. Unfortunately there are a few things I didn't like. The instructions are pretty bad. It's all pictures, and some little details aren't completely clear. We had to redo a few things once we caught the mistakes. Once built, it seems sturdy and looks nice. The other thing that I really don't like is that the operable panels on top don't seal properly when closed. There seems to be other areas of gaps that create some drafts too. Fortunately our freezes tend to only drop to the high 20s, so the temperature is still okay. If I lived in a colder environment, this would definitely be an issue. Today when the outside temperature was about 45 due to a cold front, the greenhouse was about 55. Properly sealed, I think it should be at least 10 degrees higher. The poor sealing was not an issue with my previous smaller model. I plan to use flexseal or some other product to seal off any areas where warm air is escaping and readjust the ceiling panels. Overall I really like the greenhouse; but for the price paid, it really shouldn't have these issues.
